RUN 2393 REPORT

This is the On Sec’s interpretation of the run report from Rigor Mortis, hand written, photographed and sent as a message…

Run 2394 from the Crescent Hotel. Eveready the hare on this King’s Birthday holiday.

The Crescent Hotel was est. in 1858. The new owner who also owns the Hope and Anchor ‘John Kelly’ bought the Crescent Hotel approx 10 years ago and restored it to its current state. This is also the pub which hosted Sir Eve’s 1000th Run.

Hashers started to turn up from 5.30ish to cheers and boos as customers AKA boof heads hovered around the TV watching the footy game. They must have thought shit loads of Melbourne supporters were turning up as Hashers had their rugby tops on. Lone Shit Creek beig the only Collingwood supporter lol! Once the game finished the normal Hash drinking and banter began. Snackbar was guarding the entrance to the ladies toilet resuming his position after each female asked him to allow them to enter. Fat Controller blessed us with a race visit. Don’t leave it so long next time FC.

6.30pm came – 29 hashers were sent off up Burnett St then to May St then into Arthur Street to then turn into Hill St before starting the ascent up Mellefont St. OMG we thought, Eveready is training us up for the yearly Balfor Street Burn in Launnie (running up their steepest street). But by the time we got through Valley Street Reserve we compared it to the Baldwin Street Yearly run in New Zealand’s steepest street. We were huffing and puffing so much none of us could comment on Snackbar’s announcement of his loss of virginity in the reserve (In The Raw later took the skoll for this one as Snackbar left early).

We headed down Mt Stuart where at another Master Check there was Griz waiting for hashers to join him. Shit Creek said “where did you come from” and Griz replied “well ……my mother and father had sex once so 9 months and 2 weeks later baby Griz arrived”. Quick wit as usual Griz lol!

Down to civilisation of North Hobart thank goodness. Back to the pub for a nice meal and a few drinks. The lip session began straight after hungry hashers were fed. A good night of exercise, food, drinks and some laughs. Thanks Eveready.
