DETAILS
Venue: Bicheno East Coast Holiday Park
Date: Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October 2024
Cost: $100. This includes BBQ lunch on Saturday, grog during the circle (Including Sir Eve’s brews), Dinner at a pretty swank eatery and breakfast on Sunday Morning plus badge and other paraphernalia. Payment information will be sent by email once you have registered.
Accommodation: Will be in well-appointed cabins. The cabins range from small 2-person to larger 6-person. It is likely that 2 -4 Hashers will be accommodated in each cabin.
The larger cabins have two separate bedrooms. Cost of staying in the cabins – $60 per person per night. There are options for cheaper accommodation at the site for those who want to bring a caravan or camper or who want to camp in a tent.
For those who abhor the thought of staying in a cabin with other people, there are also plenty of options nearby to book your own accommodation.
The JMs will try to ensure that, if in a shared cabin, we will try our utmost to put people of a like mind etc together. As the events near, we will canvas Hashers of who they want to spend the night with.
Please don’t ring the venue and try to book a cabin as I – the handsome JM, ITR – have booked all the cabins in my name. Those that wish to take campervans or tents will need to make their own bookings, but hold on for a bit as we can probably bring the booking price down. More on that later.
Trail: Will be amazing. What else would you expect from the handsome JM.

Friday night: For those heading up on Friday, look after yourself. All the cabins have a kitchen and there are barbecues and a camp kitchen onsite. There are also a number of eateries nearby, including a wood fired pizza joint that sells interesting beer, right next door to the venue. The pub is a five-minute walk away and there are a number of interesting wine bars and cafes, all quite close. Breakfast Saturday morning is on you and refer to the earlier comment on nearby cafes etc.
Saturday night: Pre-dinner drinks and meals, frivolity etc will be at a nearby eatery. The club will provide a limited amount of alcohol and then its on you. The eatery will permit BYO wine, but will charge the individual corkage. The venue does not allow BYO beer, spirits etc. They will be available from the bar.
Gluhwein Competition: There will be one after the circle and frivolity on Saturday afternoon. More info as the date nears.
Registration: Register online HERE by 30 September 2024 and pay for the Oktoberfest registration cost ($100). You will be sent payment information after you have registered, or you can pay the H5 Hash Cashiers. Once we – the JMs – know who is coming etc, we will arrange payments for the accommodation.
That’s it.
