RUN REPORT
Coupla Weeks set Monday’s walk/run from the Prince of Wales pub. [Not to be confused at all with the Shipwright’s Arms…]
We set off down the streets of Sandy Bay with Grizzly leading the walking crew,
leading us down a long flight of stairs, only for everyone to realise that ‘FT FT FT’ was written down the railing. Everyone except Grizzly, who made it to the bottom before he noticing he was walking alone.
After that first false trail it felt like they kept coming, losing the trail several times.
We managed to make it down to the waterfront; the clear sky and lights from across the river looked beautiful.
There was a Master Check at the waterfront, complete with two tourists that picked a strange time and spot to admire the view. It turned out that this was Princess LayHer and Size 14 from Brisbane Halfway Hash, who found trail outside their hotel and followed it the Master Check. [They must have shamed KKK and Sir Eve into not creeping.]
We remained at the Master Check waiting for the others to catch up, eagerly awaiting Steady Eddie so that he could tell us a story about where we were standing. However, without letting him finish [or even start] ‘On! On!’ was called and we were on our way again.
Walking around the streets, Stunned Mullet kept seeing e-scooters, and after passing five or six he had enough, he had to have a ride. Madonna and Mullet zoomed off, passing everyone though the park, over bridges and over roads, then dumped them a short time later. Somehow they still fell to the back on the last legs of the trail, the oldies have it all over them!
Getting closer to our destination, the trail had us do one big hill. That’s when the walkers saw the runners, and warned half the runners about the big FT they had almost blindly ran into. The other half of the runners weren’t so lucky, losing the pack and the trail all together and making their own way back. The walkers enjoyed conversations as they followed the true trail on home.
This was one of the more easier and enjoyable trail Coupla Weeks created for us last Monday evening.

- Coupla Weeks – sending Hash to the wrong pub and blaming it on ‘circumstances beyond her control’
- Last Post [all stand for the Last Post] – standing on a street corner and offering it for free
