RUN REPORT

Run 2226 | Hare Prawn Star | Kingston Beach RSL
On a very cold and dark night about 24 Hashers bravely assembled at the Kingston RSL for a run set by Prawn Star. The run was originally to be held from Aunty Donna’s Coffee Café, but a double booking required a new venue. The pack was down a bit as some of the regulars had abandoned Tassy for warmer weather in Darwin.
It was good to see that Chloe, a local regular was still in pride of place on display. Steady gave a historical account to Stunned Mullet as to where the life sized original could be found. Prawn Star, being very patriotic organised the lights to be lowered and the Ode to be played and all took part in a reverent fashion. He then gave us our run instructions and we were reminded that it was cold and dark outside and to take our gloves and torches. The pack replied as one “we will remember them”.
Out the front door and down to the beach, a turn left and there was some disappointment that Neal The Seal, was not in his usual place and had indeed flippered off to Bicheno, probably to avoid the noisy Hash Pack. The runners continued off up towards Browns River and met up with the walkers at the steps (James Lane) in Ewing Avenue. From here it was somewhere around Kingston Heights and some foreshore track running as reports of feral cuddly penguins filtered back.
Eventually all arrived back at the On On and the pack was kept quiet with various flavours of souvlaki with chips. The by now seasoned Lips then entertained the pack with new H5 hasher, Platapussy being featured as well as country member Nancy Boy. Steady received a skull for marching in the Anzac Parade being one of the last of his unit left, The 69th Foot and Mouth Deserters. The pack then rushed home to see the end of the Coronation Concert and to see if Katy Perry had a wardrobe malfunction in the gold dress.
A good run on a cold night – On On Steady Eddy

SKOLS
- Prawn Star – Hare apparent; too many hills, too short; good weather; not bad for someone just getting over Shingles

- Dishlicker – went to Kingston Bowls Club, Margate instead of RSL Club
- ITR – left his pants on
- Snack Bar and Just Kidding – found out they are Irish cousins from County Cork
- Just Kidding – joke
- Steady Eddy – marching in ANZAC parade
- Nancy Boy, Prawn Star, Stunned Mullet, Snack Bar and TicToc – c*untry members
